If you must have faith, you must learn to hear God's Word. It is important for you to hear God's Word, not only with your ears but also with your heart. To hear God's Word in your heart requires an openness and hunger for HIS message. When you are hungry for God's Word, you will approach HIS message as if your life depends on knowing it.

Through hearing, belief comes; through believing, trust comes; through trusting, confidence is established. However, this process of hearing and obeying is not automatic but gradual. Those who refuse to take these tiny steps cannot believe God and understand the basic truth about faith.
