On Sunday, 20th January, 2008 thousands of viewers from all over the world tuned in to Emmanuel TV to join the service of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations, Lagos, Nigeria with Prophet T.B. Joshua. During the time of prayer, as the service drew to an end, the man of God once again gave a prophetic message, this time concerning the nation of Pakistan and in particular, it’s leaders. He said:

“We should pray for the nation Pakistan, for their leaders there. Because I am seeing leaders being killed. Let’s lift up our voice and pray for the nation Pakistan. Father, redeem their land. You own the world. You can redeem. The life and everything therein are in Your hand. We cannot control You. The nation – Father redeem and bring peace in Jesus’ name. Let’s come together on Tuesday and fast and pray for the nation Pakistan. We pray that the Lord should calm the situation, and everything should be in order.”

The viewers of Emmanuel TV prayed along with the man of God and the congregation for the mercy and favour of God on the nation of Pakistan, during the service. Also, following specific instruction, they prayed on Tuesday 22nd January, 2008, when a special day of prayer and fasting was observed at The SCOAN Faith Resort Ground.

This call for prayer for the nation of Pakistan comes at a time of political turbulence in the view of the coming elections and in the wake of Benazir Bhutto’s assassination, which occurred four weeks ago, on January 19th 2008.

On Thursday, 24th January, 2008 the Pakistani police discovered and defused a 400g time-bomb which had been strategically positioned directly on the route where Nawaz Sharif (see picture), was to pass.

Nawaz Sharif, former Prime Minister and present leader of the opposition, was travelling to Peshawar,  a troubled city near the Afghan border, to address a lawyers' convention and a political rally when his convoy was stopped after the report came that there were explosives in the area they were about to enter.

Could it be mere chance that the bomb, concealed within a plastic bag, under a bridge was detected just minutes before the former Prime Minister was to pass?

On Wednesday evening, Nawaz Sharif had said to reporters in Islamabad: “Keeping in view the worsening security situation in Pakistan, it has become challenging and dangerous for politicians who are putting their lives at risk when they go out to seek votes”.

As God continues to reveal the present and future events across the globe, through the word of prophecy, let your faith in Him be lifted up, knowing that whoever we are, wherever we are and whatever we are doing, we are truly under His eyes.
