Foundational revealed truths that will strengthen your inner life and help you to become a better servant of the Lord..
with Prophet T. B. Joshua.

God's Word is the seed of Divine life that comes into our hearts and causes our faith to grow. The seed must remain planted and be kept watered before it can produce its harvest. It is God's Word planted, watered and steadfastly trusted that saves, heals and gives all of God's blessings.
As Christians, our only responsibility is to trust the Holy Spirit, keep God's Words in our mind, our mouth and in every conversation (Joshua 1:8). So, allow God's Word in the midst of your heart continuously and not occasionally, as you enjoy these devotions from Prophet T.B. Joshua.

THE SECRET OF BLESSING - 1

"So great was her love for God
that out of her poverty she put
in everything she had"

Mark 12:41-44
“Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny. Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on."

Mark 12:38-44 captures the irony of a situation where a poor widow is exalted in her selfless generosity far and above the high and mighty in the society – men of substance – whom Jesus disregarded because of their self-centeredness. Ironically, Jesus honoured the poor widow’s giving attitude, which reflected the disposition of her mind towards God. So great was her love for God that out of her poverty she put in everything she had. By Jesus’ reckoning though outwardly she was poor, inwardly she was the richest. In other words, the rich might be outwardly wealthy; inwardly they are impoverished because the have transferred their loyalty, commitment and love from God to their material wealth.

In this passage, it was not the rich and their huge gift that impressed Jesus but the quality and level of sacrifice as demonstrated by the poor widow’s show of faith. It is praiseworthy when we give not only to our power but beyond our power.
